While retaining our 320-tonne 4m press and 150-tonne 3m press, Wrightform recently added the Bystronic Xpert 80 1.5m and the Xpert 40 1m press to our Suffolk facility. These two new presses fold small and medium parts economically with a working speed of up to 30mm per second. This can be up to three times faster than using the large press and benefits from low energy consumption. The machines are mobile, enabling us to use the workshop space economically.

Whilst utilising the traditional press tooling Wrightform also operate using Rolla V equipment, this allows for much shorter flanges, folds closer to holes and slots and minimal to no marking of parts.

If you have parts up to a bending length of around five feet and a maximum thickness of ¾ of an inch, the Xpert 80 is built for these requirements. Therefore, the Xpert 80 offers a large bending length and press capacity and benefits from being quickly changeable from being a manual machine to that of a fully automated one – with robotics and a conveyor system taking the parts direct to packaging. The Xpert 40 machine has a bending length of just over 3.2 feet and offers a wide range of applications from thin and thicker materials with a ultra-high performance back gauge system.
